Either stargate ramp will not raise

Both stargate ramps are raised by a double winding coil, similar to a flipper coil. Since these coil systems are like a flipper coil, they use end of stroke (EOS) switches. Check to make certain that the EOS switches are not pitted, fouled, broken, or misaligned. Likewise, each of these coils is fused separately. Check the appropriate fuse under the playfield to make certain it has not failed.

The stargate ramps shipped with A-27643 coils. Equally, the markings under the playfield state to use this same coil number. However, these coils were not sufficient from the factory. They will prematurely blow the associated stargate coil fuses, and eventually the coils will burn and fail. It is recommended to replace these coils with A-30468 coils. A-30468 coils can be purchased from The Pinball Resource.
