I don't use / read RGP anymore.  Just got tired of the fights and BS there.

Also can't access your link - I get failures for the rgparchive server.

Any other way to link me to the message?

BTW - Still playing pinball. Set up my BK2K yesterday and got it running for a laugh and a few games.

Glad you are well, RH!  The message essentially had an inquiry regarding some caps on a WMS driver board.  My reply was, "420pf 50v ceramic cap. Line item 17 should list items C49 - C56, but the version I looked at doesn't".  I was referring to the WMS 3-6 driver board BOM located here - http://www.pinwiki.com/wiki/index.php?title=Williams_System_3_-_7#Driver_Board_Diagrams.  Not certain if there is an updated version elsewhere. --[[User:Jimpal|Jimpal]] ([[User talk:Jimpal|talk]]) 07:55, 29 March 2014 (CDT)

Yeah, good to hear from you again.  Your advice was good, It's the same part for C49-56 as for the other switch Row/Col strobes.

Shown on the logic diagram anyway for all of them as 420pf.  So not really a big deal,

I think the BOM is as WMS listed it with only some of my own minor tweaks.  I appreciate the errata, and will update at some point.

Would publish all I have, except that those owning rights for manual reprints got twitchy about online publishing in PDF format.

It has to do with how WMS grants them license to the pb stuff.  I can publish my own layouts of circuit diagrams, which are my original work.

and the actual boards are of course physical designs which I have no choice but to represent accurately.

I just don't want to step on toes at this point... maybe someday it will get easier.  All of System 7  is documented (e.g. for BK as we have done for FP)

- but the choice was made to take it all down rather than get into a fight that  was more trouble than it was worth.

Feel free to PM me on  the fppb.com address, I do read it and sometimes even reply when I'm not too busy!!

Yeah, good to hear from you again. Your advice was good, It's the same part for C49-56 as for the other switch Row/Col strobes. Shown on the logic diagram anyway for all of them as 420pf. So not really a big deal, I think the BOM is as WMS listed it with only some of my own minor tweaks. All of System 7 is documented (e.g. for BK as we have done for FP) - but the choice was made to take it all down rather than get into a fight that was more trouble than it was worth.
