3.1 Earthshaker Fault Mechanism
A nifty - and long-unavailable - cam is subject to wear. The important parts are all at the back of the playfield, and impossible to access easily without pulling the playfield.
3.2 Shaker Motor Brush Replacement
If your motor has completely stopped working or seems like it doesn't shake like it used to, chances are good that the motor brushes are worn out. The motor brushes are available from supplies under part #20-9604 and are about $30. The brushes can be removed without removing the motor from its frame; they snap into place. The pictures below show the relevant parts.
