1 Doctor Who Shop Out Guide

And take plenty of pictures. If you have a digital camera, go overboard, you can always delete them after things are back together.
2 Parts to have on hand
- Replacement plastics if you can get them.
- Bulbs - thirty or so #44 or #47
- twenty #555 a few #906 & 89 flashers
- Rubber ring kit - see chart at end
- Replacements for anything that is obviously broken, pop bumpers, for example.

4 Start
- Remove 3 balls.
- Raise playfield and disconnect wires to ramps (basically any wire running though a hole to the top of the playfield). Make sure all wires can come up through the holes without any encumbrances. Label connectors so they will be easier to reconnect. I use a sharpie permanent ink pen and use the letters of the alphabet - a,b,c...
Note: There's a connector hiden in back of the time expander.
- While the playfield is up, remove the clear trough assembly. It makes it easier getting the cable connectors though the playfield.
- Remove right ("W") ramp.
- 2-1/8 inch hex spacer at bottom
- 3/8 inch round washer head screws
- 1/2 inch 8-32 star washer head in hex posts.
- Bumper post on right side of ramp entrance. - Remove plastic over "escape" targets (-11 sp)
- 3/8 inch round washer head screw and a washer under the hex post. - Remove square plastic above police box (-7 sp)
- Remove police box. Round head screws.
- Remove habittrail to right slingshot
- thick washer under habitrail mount), round head screws. - Remove right slingshot plastic
- 5/8 inch post at top for habittrail. - Remove lane guides below slingshot.
- 1-1/2 inch wood screws at top. - Remove clear ball guard on top of plastic at end of shooter lane
- 3/8 inch round washer head screw. - Remove plastic at end of shooter lane (-6 sp)
- 2-5/16 inch hex post at top. - Remove long narrow plastic (-15 sp) on right side of cabinet below right top jet bumper,
- 3/8 inch round washer head screw. - Remove metal guard around time expander
- 3/8 inch round washer head screw. - Remove left ramp - swing ramp to left and raise to clear rear post.
- Remove left slighshot and lane guide below it.
- Remove plastic behind upper flipper (-17 sp)
- 3/8 inch round washer head screw. - Remove plastic behind "repair" targets with two light (-13 sp)
- Remove plastic (-14 sp) from upper left corner.
- Remove lids from jet bumpers.
- Remove Doctor #5 plastic (-12 sp) on back of playfield.
- 5/8 inch hex post on top of rear right corner. - Remove plastic (-5 sp) from right rear corner.
- NOTE: 8-32 post on top of star post at end of 3 with the rubber ring. - Remove plastic on top of time expander.
- Remove plastic (-8 sp) behind time expander
- 3/8 inch round washer head screw. - Remove time expander (mini playfield)
- First remove two nylock nuts on bottom of playfield on the right side that hold the roller unit.
- Four 1 inch 8-32 star washer machine screws. - Remove apron and ball trough hardware.
- Remove trap door on left ramp by removing the lane guide under it and then the retaining clip.
5 Posts
- One double star post below bottom jet bumper, to the left sidenext of the micro-switch.
- All hex posts are Female - Female - 5/8 inch - uppder right corner on red star post (holds plastic over jet bumper)
- 1-9/16 inch - 2 on left slingshot plastic at bottom of ramp
- 1-9/16 inch - 2 on left ramp above trap door
- 2.31 inch - right ramp mid-right on white post
- 2-1/8 inch - bottom of right ramp
- 2-1/8 inch - right ramp on left side rail
- 5/8 inch - 2 on at rear of time expander
Round posts:
- 3-1/4 inch - behind time expander
- 3 inch - left of "build transmat" insert.
The hollow metal post to mount the gate assembly for the trap door on the left side of the left ramp uses the longer wood screw post.
