I'm new to the hobby (started 2013) and find it incredibly addictive. While not a particularly good player, I really enjoy repairing and modding games.
I am a former internet marketing director and was working on putting together a pinball directory/resource site, but decided it would be much better to become a Pinwiki contributor. It is such a great resource for the entire community and already houses such a large amount of information. Also a former digital image archive manager working for a major metropolitan newspaper, I think that some of the greatest value that we as community members with areas of expertise can provide is detailed an organized information not only for those new to the hobby, but those who have been in it for years.
My primary areas of focus on PinWiki are the non-repair areas with more directory-style information, e.g. information outlets, where to play, related resources, pinball history, general information, etc.
