1 General Information

Star Wars was released by Stern in 2017. It was manufactured in 3 models:

  • Pro Edition
  • Premium Edition
  • Limited Edition

For more info, refer to the Star Wars page on Stern's website.

2 Software

2.1 Code Updates

The most recent code released for Star Wars is version 1.05.0 dated 10/12/2018. It can be downloaded from the following links:

2.2 SD Card Images

Stern also provides SD card images to re-create, if needed, the software on the SD card inserted into the CPU Node 0 board in the game. The 1.05.0 SD card images can be downloaded from the following links:

The instructions on how to re-create an SD card from these images can be found here.

3 Hardware

3.1 Switches, Lights, Coils, Etc.

The manuals do a good job of listing the individual switches, lights, coils (drivers), and motors used in the game and cross-referencing the controlling node board and pin-outs, and associated part numbers. Refer to section 3 in the manuals for this detailed info.

3.2 Node Boards

The manuals do a good job of showing the pinouts for each of the node and sub-node boards and what they connect to (i.e., switches, lamps, coils, motors, etc.). Refer to section 4 in the manual for details.

For the details of the node and sub-node used in the various models of the game and their inter-board connections, refer to the following sub-sections.

3.2.1 Pro
