Leon Borre Adding Stern Knocker

Real knocker on newer Stern games.

This mod is possible on the following games:

The Simpsons pinball party;Terminator 3; Lord of the rings, Ripley's,Elvis;Grand prix, Nascar; The sopranos.

Probably it will work on other Stern machines to , but i had no schematics to verify if there is in the " standard adjustements" setting at adjustement 46 a choice for the extra Q24 setting.

In the mentioned machines there is a extra solenoid output coming from J7 pin 10 this output ends up on a connector wich you can find just above the tilt plumb.

Every thing is already mounted on this image , but you can clearly see the small white connector just under the white wire support. It is a three prong connector with only two wires , a red and a purple/grey one.I used a Zaccaria knocker wich has a 50volts coil. Of course any knocker will do if it has a 50 volts coil . It is fixed at the side of the cabinet , and gives a good knocker sound !

I use the output to drive a small 6 volts realy , wich has contacts that can handle 16amps. At this contacts the knocker is connected .

The settings in the standart adjustement menu are as follows:

Setting 3 set to Token

Setting 6 set to Token

setting 12 set to Token

setting 46 set to Token dispenser
