Just a side note here about screws, etc - my machine was recently acquired and at some point all the rings had been changed to black rubber. On Bride of Pinbot, changing all the rings means tearing the playfield completely down, so there is no guarentee that the screws used to reassemble it are in the original location. I've noted where they are in my machine.

  1. Remove 3 balls.
  2. Raise playfield and disconnect wires to ramps (basically any wire running though a hole to the top of the playfield). Make sure all wires can come up through the holes without any encumbrances. Label connectors so they will be easier to reconnect. I use a sharpie permanent ink pen and use the letters of the alphabet - a,b,c...
  3. Remove habittrail on left sling.
    - 8-32 star washer philips head machine screw at top
    - 6-32 with washer philips head machine screw on ramp.
  4. Remove left sling and left lane guide
  5. Remove "Power change during multiball" plastic on left side.
  6. Remove clear guard (50002-19-sp) from left side of helmet.
    - two 1-1/4" wood scrwes (a square drive screw was used for one of these)
  7. Remove helmet, 2 screws on each side and two in the back
    - 5/8" with star washer in back
    - 1/2" with star washer in front
  8. Remove plastic to left of shooter habittrail with point numbers on it - 25k, 200k, etc.
    - 1/4" machine screws with built in washer
  9. Remove center ramp with "magic" heart, "e=mc2" etc. on it.
    - 1/4" spacer with washer on ride siderail
  10. Remove plastic under ramp (50002-10-sp)
  11. Remove plastic above shooter lane (50002-2-sp)
  12. Remove plstic around spinner
    - 3/8" screw holding lamp cover to plastic
  13. At this point you may have to remove the mini-playfield or at least loosen it to allow access to the screw holding the tab for the habittrail - if so, see mini-playfield removal below.
  14. Remove habittrail above shooter lane
    - 8-32 5/8" slotted hex machine screw
    - has blue post with a theaded post going through it to secure the tab
  15. Remove light bar next to habittrail - standard wood screws
  16. Remove skill shot assembly - 6 black wood screws
  17. Remove right slingshot and lande guide
    - 1-3/8 inch hex space
  18. Pull playfield off pivot pins and move forward about 4 inches to allow access to the rear.
  19. Remove left ramp
    - one pan head star washer machine screw
    - one regular machine screw
  20. Remove clear plastic over left scoop.
  21. Remove plastics in front of head assembly.
  22. Remove both flasher lights and plastics - label them so you get them wired back properly.
  23. Remove mini playfield
    - 8-32 5/8" star pan head machine screw on right side
    - 8-32 1/2" plan head machine screw with washer on left rear
    - 6-32 1/2" star washer pan head machine screw
  24. Remove plastics under mini playfield (-6-sp, -15-sp)
  25. Remove pop bumper lids.
  26. Remove black metal guide to left of the head assembly.
    - two hex washer head self-threading screws.
  27. Remove head assembly
    - six 8-23 3/4" star washer machine screws with thick washers
  28. Remove pinbot values sign from right rear.
  29. Remove lane guides.
  30. Remove posts - pictures really important here!
  31. Remove spinner rod by raising the playfield and remove the switch the rod is connected to and twist it upwards freeing the rod.

NOTE:
When assembling, put the head unit back in AND make sure it works 100% before doing anything else.

Same for the helmut around the head, make sure all lights work (or just replace all the light bulbs)
